The Bible says, God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself (II Corinthians 5:19). The way that God worked through His Son is the way that God works through us, for the verse ends by saying, and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
We learn from other writings of Paul that the same power of God that worked in Jesus Christ rests in us. Ephesians chapter one and verses nineteen and twenty say, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.
You see, God wants to do a work THROUGH us, so He imparted His Spirit IN us. That is the way God works. If we are to accomplish anything for God, it will be the Spirit of God using us as an instrument under His control. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (1 Cor 6:19-20).
God was in Christ! But God is in us that believe. If God worked through His Son, He is at work in His sons, too.
